Eligibility Criteria for the University of Waterloo Scholarships
Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be eligible for the University of Waterloo Scholarships:
- Required Languages: English
- Eligible Countries: All over the world
- Applicants having a good academic Record a minimum 70% average at the Bachelor level and normally a minimum 75% average at the graduate level are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
- The Applying student must be a full-time Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. student in any faculty who wishes to participate in an international experience in Israel, including a minimally, volunteer placement, an academic exchange, or a study related to academic requirements.
- International students have valid Canadian study permits registered full-time and are assessed international tuition fees.
- Most scholarships are for research-based programs (thesis or major research paper).
- The scholarship is mostly given to students entering the first term of their program (term 1.0).
- Applicants must meet academic excellence through criteria established by the Faculty.
- Applicants must meet the academic progress requirements of their program and not have outstanding probationary admission requirements.
- The UW Graduate Scholarship, OGS, and other internal or external scholarships may be awarded in conjunction with this one. You must understand that sponsorship and scholarships are not the same thing.
- Apart from the bare minimum of support from the faculty, students shouldn’t generally be substantially self-funded.
- Applicants who were grandparents under the current IMSA procedure are not eligible for an IMAE. A student who has already received an IMSA for a master’s degree may be eligible for an IMAE.
- There is no need to separately apply for the scholarships. If you are admitted to Waterloo University, you will be immediately considered for these awards.
